TPS Announces New Member Advisory Council

TPS Member Advisory Council

Theatre Puget Sound announces the formulation of our new Member Advisory Council. We seek qualified candidates from the Seattle Arts community to participate.

The MAC is a standing assembly of committed volunteers designated to represent and empower the TPS membership in the organization’s planning and program evaluation. The primary intent is that each member of the council specifically represent a specialized constituency group within the larger membership and agree to advocate on their behalf as well as directly represent TPS within the designated area of representation.

The MAC is comprised of 15 members who serve 1 year terms, to begin January 2015. Individuals may serve for a maximum of 3 consecutive terms. Qualifications include demonstrated leadership ability, enthusiasm, knowledge and skills developed from experience or training in one or more primary constituency group within the TPS Membership. A nominee must be a current TPS member in good standing within the year of nomination and service term. Prospective candidates should demonstrate a commitment and willingness to dedicate time to attend a minimum of 4 meetings a year; to represent the Council at community functions; and a commitment to the Council’s express core purpose and values.
