Live Theatre Week: Day 1

It’s the big week, everyone – Live Theatre Week begins today.  Shall we see what’s going on tonight?  All free.

  • Tour at 5th Ave – This was actually a mid-day one!  At noon, anyone was welcome to stop by the 5th Ave and get a behind-the-scenes one of Seattle’s greatest musical theatre groups.  Q & A followed.
  • Open Rehearsal for Macbeth being put on by Eclectic Theatre company at Odd Duck studio tonight.
  • Page to Stage Showcase of New Plays – Staged readings at Do North Theatre of scripts written by local playwrights.
  • The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later – an 80-minute epilogue to the heartbreaking tale of the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard.   Performed at the Seattle Rep.
  • Open Rehearsal for Jet City Improv – Improv rehearsals are performances in themselves – come see how Seattle’s funniest people craft their skills.

Tonight also marks the first free night of the week, with Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill being performed for those lucky enough to sign up for a ticket before they ran out!  Check the full calendar here.
